Finally: Writing Workshops That Don’t Require a 3 AM Alarm
Live on Zoom from London, Berlin, Paris, or anywhere across Europe? We hear you.
For years, we’ve received the same message from writers across the UK and the continent: “I’d love to take your classes, but they’re always in the middle of the night for me.”
Today, we’re excited to share our answer: a curated collection of Europe-friendly writing workshops—live Zoom classes scheduled to end by midnight GMT/CET, plus flexible asynchronous options you can complete entirely on your own schedule.
No more calculating time zones at 2 AM. No more missing live sessions because they start while you’re asleep. No more choosing between your writing life and your actual life.

What’s in the Collection?
🎥 Live Zoom Workshops
We’ve hand-selected workshops that run at civilised hours for European time zones. You’ll find classes starting as early as 3 PM London time through to evening sessions that wrap up before midnight.
These are real-time, interactive experiences—you’ll workshop with fellow writers, ask questions, and get live feedback from your instructor. And most are recorded, so if life gets in the way, you can catch up later.
📝 Asynchronous Workshops
Prefer to write at midnight? First thing in the morning? During your lunch break? Our asynchronous workshops on the Wet Ink platform have no scheduled meetings at all.
Each week, your instructor posts lessons and prompts. You write, share, and give feedback when it fits your life. These classes attract writers from every time zone—you’ll find yourself in community with people from Dublin to Dubai.
The Workshops
Our Europe-friendly collection spans everything you might want to study:
Fiction: Short stories, flash fiction, novel craft, magical realism, and more
Poetry: Generative workshops, form studies, revision intensives, and themed explorations
Nonfiction: Personal essay, memoir, travel and food writing, illness narratives
Publishing & Craft: Working with literary agents, query letters, submissions strategy, craft seminars
Whether you’re drafting your first personal essay or polishing a novel manuscript, you’ll find workshops at your level—taught by New York Times contributors, National Book Award finalists, and working writers with serious publication credits.

Why Writers Choose Us
We’re an independent, artist-run creative writing school—not a corporation. Since 2016, we’ve been the school we wished existed when we were starting out.
We’re the official education partner of Electric Literature. Our class sizes are small, so everyone gets real feedback. And our alumni have gone on to publish in The New Yorker, win major prizes, and land book deals.
But more than credentials, we care about building a genuine community. Many of our students have found not just craft instruction but lifelong writing friends.
